Each Magic set comes with its unique alterante arts, aesthetically tied to the set’s theme. So, it’s not a surprise that the Spider-Man set features the so-called Comic Panel cards.
Today, we’re going to take a closer look, as well as answer some questions you might ask about them, starting with:
What are Spider-Man Comic Panel Cards?
These are alternate-art versions of the cards that also appear in the main set. They feature comic-like design, and they look spectacular. It’s like a crossover between a comic and a Magic card.
As you can see below, sagas in particular really stand out, especially compared to their regular versions.
In total, there are 14 panel cards with the following rarity breakdown:
- 10 rares
- 4 mythics
Spider-Man Panel Cards List
Here you can find all 14 Spider-Man comic panel cards. Two of them are double-faced, so which means 16 cool artworks in total.
There are 14 borderless panel cards, consisting of 4 mythic rares and 10 rares. These cards are available in both Play Boosters and Collector Boosters.
Where to Get Spider-Man Panel Cards?
Spider-Man Collector boosters offer the highest chance of containing these cool-looking cards. Thankfully, they aren’t absent from Play boosters, though. Let’s see what your odds are for opening them.
Collector Boosters
In Collector boosters, there are three slots that can contain a Panel card:
- two slots, each with an 18.5% chance of a non-foil Panel card (15.4% rare 3.1% mythic)
- one slot with an 18.6% chance of a foil Panel card (16.4% rare, 3.2% mythic)
Therefore, each Collector booster has a 45.9% chance of containing at least one Panel card.
Play Boosters
In Play boosters, there are also three slots that can feature a Panel card, but the odds are significantly lower:
- two slots (foil and wildcard) are each with under 1%
- rare slot has a 2.5% chance of a non-foil Panel card (confirmed 2.1% for a rarer and assumed 0.4% for mythic)
Thus, each Play booster has 2-3% chance of containing a Panel card. On average, you can probably expect a single one per booster box.
