Today we’re taking a look at the best Double Masters 2022 cards for Commander format. there are quite a lot of them, and that’s why we separated the article into two main parts. In the first one, we’ll explore the best cards for the 99. In the second one, we’ll take a look at the best Commanders from Double Masters 2022.

We’re starting off with the best cards for the 99. We tried to do a top 10 list, but since there are so many good cards, we also had to add some honorable mentions.
Honorable Mentions
Rampant Growth
Rampant Growth is one of the most widely played Green cards in Commander, it’s been around since forever, and it’s nice to see it come back again. Sure, it’s pretty cheap, but the the new borderless art is great for anyone who wants to pimp out their deck.
Crucible of Worlds
Crucible of Worlds is simply amazing in the right deck. Its price was already climbing since its last reprint, so its return is bound to make lots of Commander players happy.
Eternal Witness
Eternal Witness is great, you can get your card back, and you get a body, which can be used for all sorts of shenanigans. From flickering to sacrifice and so on. It’s a reprint that Green players are always happy to see.
Panharmonicon
Getting enters-the-battlefield effects is cool and all, but you know what’s even better? Getting them twice. Panharmonicon was a popular card from the moment it was first printed way back in Kaladesh, and it’s around to stay. The incredible new art is just a cherry on the top.
#10 Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
Eldrazi are back! Sure, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is banned in Commander, but the other two titans are ready to wreck some havoc. Ulamog destroys a permanent, and is a really big scary threat. It doesn’t fit in just any deck, but in the ones that want it, it does some real work.
#9 Oracle of Mul Daya
Oracle of Mul Daya is one of the old cards that successfully stood the test of time. If you haven’t played with it, you’re in for a treat. You’ll get tons of value. Of course, you can play lands from the top of your library, and an extra one per turn.
However, you’ll quickly find other micro-synergies as well. For example, since you know which card is on the top of your library, you can use fetch lands, to shuffle it away if you don’t like it. On top of that, if your Commander cares about the top of your library in any way, this is an additional benefit. Anyways, Oracle is certainly a very fun card to have in your Commander deck.
#8 Damnation
Destroy all creatures. And no regenerations this time. (As Thanos might say, if he played Magic.) The card is certainly iconic and one of the Black Commander staples. It’s reprint in Double Masters 2022 is surely a welcome one, and the art is amazing.
#7 Teferi’s Protection
If you want to protect yourself, and your board, there’s no better card than Teferi’s Protection. It was a card that brought back phasing out after a long time, and it did so very successfully. A useful card to have in your White Commander decks.
#6 Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
The second Eldrazi titan on our list of the best Commander cards from Double Masters 2022, is Kozilek, Buther of Truth. It’s arguably even better than Ulamog, as it immediately refills your hand with four new cards, while still being a big threat on its own.
#5 Consecrated Sphinx
If you want to punish your opponent for drawing cards, just put Consecrated Sphinx in your deck. Whenever an opponent draws a card, you may draw two. Of course, you don’t even need to worry about milling yourself, since it’s a “may” ability.
#4 Phyrexian Altar
Phyrexian Altar is a part of many infinite combos and a must-have in any sacrifice deck. While it doesn’t fit in just any deck, there are still lots of decks that really want it, which makes it one of the best Double Masters 2022 cards for Commander.
#3 Dockside Extortionist
One of the most controversial cards in Commander, Dockside Extortionist, finally got a reprint. Since it doesn’t look like it’s going to get banned any time soon, that was probably really necessary.
You can often get a ton of Treasures with it, and it’s commonly used as a part of some nasty infinite combos. It’s certainly one of the best Double Masters 2022 cards for Commander.
#2 Imperial Seal
The sorcery version of Vampiric Tutor cost quite a lot of money before its reprint in Double Masters 2022. That was also due to the scarcity, but also thanks to the fact that, it’s still just a good card.
While you don’t draw the card immediately, you’re ensuring that your next draw step will be very good. Of course, if you have any shenanigans with the top of your library, it becomes that much better, and the sorcery speed isn’t that big of a problem.
#1 Mana Vault
Mana Vault, Mana Crypt and Sol Ring are the best fast mana artifacts in Commander. Sol Ring sees the most play thanks to its low price, as it’s included in every Commander precon. However, maybe this reprint brings the Vault’s price at least a bit lower, and you might be able to get one. Or perhaps, even open it in a booster.
Best Commanders from Double Masters 2022
Now it’s time to find out which are some of the best commanders from Double Masters 2022.
#5 Grand Arbiter Augustin IV
One of the original annoying commanders is back. This time with a new art. which is both weird and incredibly cool at the same time. If you want to annoy your friends, this is a great commander for you.
#4 Zur the Enchanter
Yet another, of the early commanders is back. Zur rewards you for playing cheap enchantments. There are a lot of fun strategies it enables, and while it’s not the most expensive card, it’s still fun to see Zur come back.
#3 Aminatou, the Fateshifter
Amintou is one of the planeswalker-commanders. It’s very focused on the top card of your library, and works well with some of the cards on our top 10 list. The ultimate is also a very interesting one, and can provide some fun play patterns.
If you like tricky commanders, this one is an awesome choice.
#2 Mizzix of the Izmagnus
Mizzix is a typical Izzet card, and Blue-Red mages are probably very excited about this reprint. It gets experience counters, and the more it has, the cheaper your instants and sorceries become. If you haven’t played it yet, and you enjoy casting instants and sorceries, now is your chance to try it out.
#1 Muldrotha, the Gravetide
Muldrotha is the ultimate value commander. It lets you play your permanents from your graveyard. Its colors are a great fit for this strategy, and its price has been slowly climbing up before this reprint. All in all, this Avatar is our choice for the best commander in Double Masters 2022.
