Marvel Super Heroes Draft Tier List

Hello there, hero! Welcome to our Marvel Super Heroes Draft Tier List. This article is meant as a companion to our Super Heroes Draft Guide.

While that one covers the big picture stuff, this tier list grades each card in the MSH Play boosters. (Bonus sheet coming a bit later.) Of course, the grades are based on how good they are for draft.

Before we get to the actual grades, let’s quickly explain what they mean.

Super Heroes Draft Tier List – Legend

• A: The best cards in the set, the game revolves around them, they can win games on their own. (Captain Marvel you see above certainly fits the bill.)
• B: Strong cards, that pull you towards drafting their colors.
• C: Fine, playable cards. You’ll happily pick them, when you’re already drafting their colors.
• D: Nothing special, easily replaceable, although not unplayable. A few D+ cards often end up in decks as 20th-23rd best cards.
• F: Unplayable, niche cards. Usually meant for Commander, Standard, etc.

All grades (except F) can feature a “+” or a “-” symbol. As you’d expect, C+ is better than C, which is better than C-.

With that said, here are the grades for each card in the main Marvel Super Heroes set.

Note: These grades make sense in theory, assuming you can cast and properly utilize the card. During the draft, you should slightly adjust them, depending on your previous picks. Imagine you only drafted a single two drop and you’re already in the middle of pack 2. That random D+ two drop is not looking more like a C-level card.

Conclusion

And that’s it for now — until the first update comes after a couple of weeks. As always, if you don’t agree with our grades, or if you’d like an explanation about a specific card, leave a comment below. We’ll happily discuss them further.

Do you want to draft at home with your friends? In that case, you’ll need a Play booster box. You can already buy it on Amazon to lock-in that preorder price.

Until next time, enjoy Magic, and may you win lots of drafts with your favorite super heroes!
