This week (July 13-19) might just be the largest reveal week in Magic the Gathering so far! You need to mark your calendars for three days, as we’re getting some major spoilers not just about 2026, but about next year too!
Let’s waste no more time and see what you can expect to see this week.
Start Trek First Look (July 14th)
Reveals are starting with WeeklyMTG show on Tuesday. We’re getting first information about the Star Trek set, which will be released on November 20, 2026.
So far, we don’t know much about it, expect that it’s a full set, which also includes Star Trek Commander Precons.
So, what can you expect to see on Tuesday? Around ten new cards, a whole product line-up and the packaging of the products.
If you plan to preorder stuff like Collector boosters, you want to check for them on Amazon immediately after the stream ends. These often get scalped, but players can typically buy them for MSRP after the first look stream.

If you’re not a fan of the Universes Beyond, then you’ll need to wait until Friday.
Three 2027 Sets Revealed (July 17th)
Magic Con Amsterdam features many panels, but for those of us at home, there are two major ones. The first one is happening on Friday at 9.30 PT (18.30 CEST).
During this panel, Mark Rosewater, the lead designer for MTG, will reveal three out of six, upcoming MTG sets of 2027.
All the revealed sets will feature the Universes Within, so they are all based on Magic’s lore and not outside properties. While we don’t know which sets those will be, most common predictions include various returns, such as Alara, Zhalfir, Ikoria, or even the newer Bloomburrow.
Out of these, the most likely return seems to be Alara, as it’s a popular plane that we only visited in one block, way back in 2009.
There’s likely going to be a brand-new plane, which could be Vryn or possibly an underwater world. We shall wait a little while longer to find out. But once we do, you’ll be able to find all that info here.
We probably won’t see any new cards, but just general directions about each setting.
Additional The Hobbit Spoilers (July 18th)
On the day after (Saturday at 9.30 PT 18.30 CEST), we’re getting additional information about The Hobbit set. As far as the Universes Beyond sets go, Magic players are extremely hyped about it.
