Looking forward to upcoming MTG sets? That’s great, because here’s all the information you’ll need. We’ll take a look at all Standard sets that are coming out in 2021.

Kaldheim – Already Released

Kaldheim was the first Standard MTG set of 2021. “Kald heim” means “Cold home” in Norwegian. So as the name suggests it’s a Nordic Plane.
We got getting Vikings, Nordic gods and even snow permanents. All in all, it was a pretty sweet set indeed.
Strixhaven: School of Mages
- Release Date: April 15, 2021 (Arena) and April 23, 2021 (paper)

Strixhaven is an elite school for mages, where five colleges battle for… we don’t know, something cool probably? We’re getting all kinds of Harry Potter vibes from this set.
Dungeons and Dragons: Adventures of the Forgotten Realms
- Release Date: July 16, 2021
- Set Symbol:

Instead of the regular Core Set, we’re getting a mix of Dungeons and Dragons and Magic the Gathering! Adventures of the Forgotten Realms will surely excite all fans of D&D.

Innistrad: Midnight Hunt
- Release Date: September 17, 2021

The last set of the year will be the only return in 2021. It’s code name was first just Innistrad Werewolves, but now we know its full name – Innistrad Midnight Hunt. So we’re going back to Innistrad and the focus will be on werewolves.
Innistrad: Crimson Vow
- Release Date: November 19, 2021
- Set Symbol:

But wait, that’s not all there’s a second Innistrad set, with the main focus shifting to vampires instead! It was first code-named Innistrad Vampires, but the full name was revealed to be Innistrad: Crimson Vow. This makes sense, as apparently there will the biggest Vampire wedding in the Innistrad’s history. Could Sorin Markov settle down? Who knows?
