Eternal Might Upgrade Ideas

Here are just a few ideas of which cards could make this deck even better. Now, this is just a quick overview of some cards. You can expect the a full upgrade guide to be released on our site in the last week of January.

Varina, Lich Queen

It was really surprising that this card wasn’t reprinted in this deck. It’s fairly cheap currently, plus it plays amazingly well with Temmet. You’re drawing a bunch of cards, plus you can create Zombies. I really don’t get why the card wasn’t included in the precon, but this is the first card you should acquire if you want to upgrade this deck.

That is unless you aren’t more interested in using Hashaton as your general. It is the more powerful of the two cards in commander. If you decide to make that swap, you might want to add some of the following three cards to the mix.

Tortured Existence

Is a great way to discard creatures for value. It’s cheap, efficient and plays amazingly well with Hashaton. Plus, it enables some powerful combos with cards like:

Great Whale

This card is on the Reserved List, so it won’t get reprinted ever. While it’s not the cheapest card out there, it’s still reasonably priced. Now, you could also go with the more expensive Palinchron or the budget alternative Peregine Drake.

All of these net you mana when you discard them to Hashaton, and can even generate infinite mana with the previous one mana enchantment. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to have something like Dimir Aqueduct to make it work with Drake.

Anointed Procession

Getting two tokens from Hashaton is incredibly powerful and shouldn’t be overlooked. If you ever wanted to own this powerful enchantment, now might be the time to pull the trigger.
