So, where can you get these cards? Let’s take a look at some of the most popular Lorwyn Eclipsed products.
Play Boosters
The regular, cheaper boosters. You can use this to play Draft or Sealed, besides simply cracking them.
Collector Boosters
The premium boosters with hefty price tags. Five guaranteed rares, all cards are either in foil or use special art treatment. Often even both.
This is the only product that can contain serialized cards.
Commander Precons
Magic’s most popular product returns with a couple of Commander decks. One is a five-color deck that wants to cheat large Elementals into play. The other uses cards in Jund colors and puts -1/-1 counters on creatures for various benefits.

Bundle
If buying a whole booster box is a bit excessive to you, but you still want to crack some packs, getting a Bundle is nice middle ground. It’s not that expensive you get quite a few boosters as well as some extras.
Maro’s Teaser
Before we wrap up, let’s quickly mention Mark Rosewater’s Lorwyn Eclipsed teaser. He often does one of these, where he reveals some partial information about the cards in the upcoming set.
Based on the info, you can expect a planeswalker that creates Kithkin tokens, kindred reprints, and also a bunch of counters (charge, dream, flying, first strike, indestructible, and lifelink) to be included in the counters.
There’s a card that belongs to the “Thirst for ___” cycle, a card that makes a permanent a Coward, one that tutors every turn, and one that copies triggers. A 2025 keyword also returns.
Many Lorwyn/Shadowmoor mechanics return as one-offs. Finally, we also found out about various tokens including: 1/1 Shapeshifter, 1/1 Faerie, 2/2 Elf, 3/3 Elk, and 3/4 Treefolk.
Rules Text Snippets
Here are some snippets that you’ll find on the Lorwyn Eclipsed cards:
- Add X {G} or X {W}, where X is the number of other creatures you control.
- As this artifact enters, choose Elemental, Elf, Faerie, Giant, Goblin, Kithkin, Merfolk, or Treefolk.
- At the beginning of each end step, if you put a counter on a creature this turn,
- Counter all spells your opponents control.
- Double all damage that sources you control of the chosen type would deal.
- If this is the third time this ability has resolved this turn,
- Spend only to cast spells with a mana value 4 or greater.
- This creature enters with six -1/-1 counters.
- Where X is the difference between its power and toughness.
- You may cast that card without paying its mana cost if the spell’s mana value is less than or equal to the amount of life you gained this turn.
