Second coming of Magic’s most popular set is upon us with Final Fantasy Holiday release. There’s Scene Boxes, a special Bundle and even a new take on a familiar Commander deck. All of these are dropping today, on December 5th.
Given how quickly they have been selling out, it looks like this is going to be an extremely popular release.
So, let’s wast no more time and get right to exploring Final Fantasy Holiday products in more detail.
Final Fantasy Scene Boxes
We’re starting with Scene Boxes. (You might be familiar with them, thanks to recently released Avatar Scene Boxes.) In each one you’ll find a few goodies, with the most notable ones being 3 Final Fantasy Play boosters, and 6 borderless cards.
The latter can be aligned in a 2×3 square to create a full scene, hence the name. All of them are brand-new cards — there’s no reprints. Most of them will be able to find a home in Commander decks, particularly the ones that are Final Fantasy-themed.
There are four different boxes, each one tied to a different installment of this iconic gaming franchise.

Chocobo Bundle
A special version of Final Fantasy Bundle is also a part of this Holiday Release. In each one you’ll find:
- 10 Final Fantasy Play boosters
- a 12-card Chocobo booster
- 1 foil promo Paradise Chocobo
- 1 scene card (from the previously mentioned Scene Boxes)
- 32 full-art basic lands (16 foil, 16 nonfoil)
- a wheel counter
Everything comes packed in a sturdy box, with a Chocobo design. It will certainly look great on a shelf, being a great storage for your cards. If you’re wondering about the promo card, you can expect this special version of Birds of Paradise in every Chocobo Bundle. Pretty neat, right?
But there are even more goodies included, with the most unique one being the Chocobo booster. Among the 12 cards it contains, 10 are full-art Chocobo basic lands. But the most value comes from the last two spots featuring special cards exclusive to this Bundle.
For example, you could open this absolutely stunning Snapcaster Mage.

One downside about this product is that it can be really hard to get. It’s packed so full of value and exciting cards, that so many players and collectors want to acquire it.
In the last week, it’s been popping back in stock, and quickly being sold-out again. If you want to increase your chances of buying one, check on Amazon occasionally, and you might get lucky.
Limit Break Commander Precon (Game Edition)
First thing to note here is that this isn’t a new Commander deck. Instead, it’s one of the previously-released Final Fantasy Commander precons. However, it comes with a couple of additional items.
A game code is one of this — it allows you to download the original Final Fantasy VII video game to your PC for free.
The second thing is an exclusive promo card. That’s an alternate art version of Cloud, Midgard Mecenary.
In most products, promos are often bulk rares. That’s not the case here, as the regular version of Cloud was selling for over $20 on the secondary market at the start of December 2025.
That’s certainly a nice value boost, and perhaps another reason to buy this deck. Plus, the deck does also contain a 2-card Collector Sample Pack, which gives you a chance for an amazing pull.
