Marvel Super Heroes Panel Cards: Best Look for Sagas Returns!

Panel cards are returning to MTG with Super Heroes. The second Marvel set needs to avoid mistakes that the Spider-Man made, but panel cards aren’t one of them.

These looked great before, and the trend continues, as you’ll see below. Before we take a look at the cards, let’s quickly explain what those cards actually are.

What are the Super Heroes Panel Cards?

These are alternate-art borderless versions of mainly sagas (but also some other card types) that appear in the main Super Heroes set.

Lore-wise, Sagas essentially tell a story in multiple chapters. Therefore, it’s fairly easy to turn them into a mini-comic using panels for rules text. (Hence the name.)

You can see how the regular saga (on the right) looks compared to the Panel version.

The panel version truly brings the story to life, even for those who only have a vague recollection of what the World War Hulk story line was about.

Super Heroes Panel Cards List

Sadly, just a couple of Panel cards were previewed so far. Thankfully, the other one is also a banger of a card — both visually and mechanically.

Previews will continue on June 2nd, and will go on for about two weeks. In the meantime, more Panel cards will be revealed, and added to the gallery above.

Where to Get Marvel Super Heroes Panel Cards?

These cards can be found in both Play and Collector Super Heroes boosters of Super Heroes. You can find their odds below, but those are based on the Spider-Man set, and might differ. (We’ll know for sure in a couple of weeks or so.)

Play Boosters

MTG Marvel Super Heroes Play Booster Box

Play boosters contain three slots with a possibility of a Panel card:

  • two slots (foil and wildcard) each with under 1%
  • rare slot has a 2.5% chance of a non-foil Panel card

So, each Play booster has 2-3% chance of containing a Panel card. On average, there’s a single one per booster box.

Collector Boosters

Marvel Super Heroes Collector Booster Box

There are three slots in Collector boosters, which can contain a Panel card:

  • a couple of slots, with an 18.5% chance each of a non-foil Panel card
  • a single slot with an 18.6% chance of a foil Panel card

Therefore, each Collector booster has a 45.9% chance of containing at least one Panel card.

Conclusion
