Among the four Marvel Super Heroes Commander decks, Wakanda Forever precon seems to feature the most unique theme. If you want to learn more about this green-white deck, you’ve come to the right place.

Play Artifacts & Become the Monarch
Artifacts are a fairly common theme in many decks — but not in the white-green, though. Furthermore, the monarch mechanic, while popular, doesn’t often appear in precons. As, such the deck will surely feel pretty distinct.
Interestingly enough, there is no dedicated artifact commander in this color pair. (The exception being Ich-Tekik, Salvage Splicer and Rebbec, Architect of Ascension as partners.)
It’s neat that we’re finally getting one with T’challa. Perhaps even another option with the secondary commander?
Speaking of which, that one will most likely the monarch mechanic, as well as some of the other cards in the 99. Why? Because that mechanic is highlighted on the box, but isn’t used on the main commander, as you’ll see below.
The pairing of the two mechanics that don’t typically go in hand, will provide a unique experience. Thus, Wakanda Forever precon might be pretty popular. Players who like unorthodox strategies will enjoy them, as well as fans of the Wakandian characters.
Wakanda Forever Decklist
After all, this deck will be full of them, as it’s obviously tied to Wakanda. So, you can likely expect characters such as: Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye, and many others. With 30 new cards in the deck, there’s plenty of room for all the favorites.
Additionally, even the reprints (such as Sol Ring and Arcane Signet) will feature artwork set within the Marvel universe.
Wakanda Forever Spoilers
However, we already know about five cards, one of them being the aforementioned main commander. Who other, than T’Challa, the Black Panther?
T’Challa, the Black Panther
A three mana 2/2 is whatever, but we’re mostly focused on the text box, right? It certainly delivers with a couple of useful abilities.
First one triggers both when T’Challa enters or attacks. You get a tapped Vibranium token, which is essentially an indestructible Powerstone. Even though the mana you get is somewhat limited, it’s still an extremely powerful effect to put on a commander.
The combination of enters and attack trigger almost guarantees you’ll be ramping each turn. And with a properly built deck, it shouldn’t be too hard to take advantage of that mana.
Even with just that ability, the card would be useful albeit a bit weak in combat. Thankfully, the second effect triggers whenever you cast an artifact spell with mana value four or greater. This can quickly make the Black Panther into a oversized creature for its mana cost.
Shuri, the Black Panther
Suri only has on-attack trigger, but it’s a whole mana cheaper than T’Challa, which is quite relevant.
The ability itself is also strong, if you can fill your board with artifacts. With three artifacts you get to draw a card, and with six or more you also get a buff for your whole team.
This is by no means a broken card or anything like that, but it’s a relevant option for players looking for more green-white artifact-matters commanders.

Wakanda Forever Upgrade Ideas
If you plan to upgrade this deck, here are three neat suggestions for you to start with. This cards might even see some price spikes in the near future, when players start to upgrade this deck.
Genji Glove
You can pay for Glove and active its ability with Vibranium mana. Plus, it also triggers T’Challa’s second ability.
Getting extra combats means extra Vibranium tokens, and with double strike, Black Panther becomes a must-deal-with threat. That’s even without accounting for any other attackers you might have. As such, this will be a welcome addition to the deck.
If you’re happy going in the equipment direction, Hammer of Nazahn is another solid option.
The Earth Crystal
As a four mana artifact, this also works nicely with with all of T’Challa’s abilities.
Furthermore, this gives you a discount on all of your green spells, and doubles your +1/+1 counters, while distributing them as well. This is one of those cards that might not be the best fit, depending on the rest of the deck, but it does seem useful at least in more casual play groups.
Tanuki Transplanter
The goal here is to equip Black Pather with Tanuki, then attack for a massive mana burst. Ideally, you’ll get most of the mana you spent on casting and equipping it back on the turn you play it.

What is Wakanda Forever Collector’s Edition?
Before we wrap up, there’s a special edition of the deck that we should mention.
What’s so special about this Collector’s Edition of the deck? Well, while the deck contains the same cards mechanically, all 100 cards use the special surge foil treatment.
This adds a lot of value to the cards, and can make for some very pricey cards. It’s a fairly popular design, which makes this decks quite hard to find, despite the high price.
If you want them, make sure to check Amazon listings occasionally, as they’ll likely get added after the tomorrow’s stream. (However, they might be gone quite quickly.)
