When Does Final Fantasy Release on Arena?

Want to know when Final Fantasy releases on Arena? You can find the exact time of FF MTGA release below. There’s also a countdown timer so, so you’ll avoid any time zone confusion. Additionally, you can also learn more about this set in the latter sections.

First things first, the maintenance will start on Tuesday, June 10th, at 8 a.m. PT (15:00 UTC). Officially, it’s expected to take approximately three hours. However, in most releases, players were able to play with the new set quickly after the maintenance start. (After 10-15 minutes or so.)

Maintenance Progress Check

Want to avoid all that hassle with potential lag and bugs? You can check Wizards’ Customer Support on X. They’ll post before the maintenance starts, and after it’s completed. They also mention any problems with the new patch, when those occur.

The second option is the MTG Arena Status Page. The Game, Matches, and Logins systems must all be marked as operational for smooth gameplay.

There won’t be any downtime, but you still need to restart the client to download Final Fantasy patch.

More Final Fantasy Details

Here are some articles for you to check out before the set releases on Arena.

If you’re a Commander enthusiast, you probably already know about the four Final Fantasy Commander decks. Unfamiliar with them? Check our FF Commander precons article. (Or if these aren’t your cup of tea, you can look into the future with Edge of Eternities Commander precons.)

If you plan to draft, you should definitely read our Final Fantasy Draft Guide and FF Draft Tier List to learn everything about the new Limited format. This way, you’ll give yourself a great chance to do better in the events.

Speaking of events, let’s take a look at which ones you’ll be able to play once Final Fantasy releases on Arena.

Final Fantasy Events

For drafters, two different variants will be available. You can pick between Premier (best-of-one) or Traditional Draft (best-of-three). Both of these cost 1,500 Gems or 10,000 Gold, though. The cheaper version of Quick Draft (best-of-one), will, as usually, be released a couple of weeks after.

Furthermore, Sealed will also be available in two different modes from the get go: Traditional Sealed and Best-of-one Sealed. This is a nice way to practice for events such as Arena Opens, Qualifiers, or paper RCQs.

Does anything change in Constructed? Not this time, as Standard rotation happens in the autumn. Thus, Final Fantasy simply adds the new cards to Standard, as well as other Constructed formats, such as Brawl, Explorer, Historic, and Timeless.

  1. I just bought and opened Final Fantasy packs on Arena using gold. Your timer is wrong. I was allowed to use the cards in constructed. New Mastery Pass isn’t live yet though.
