What Are The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Box Toppers?
Box Toppers are promo cards that you get as a reward for buying a whole MTG booster box. They don’t come with every set, though. The last one included in a Standard box were over a year ago in Dominaria United. As far as supplemental products go, we also have LotR Box Toppers.
So, it’s certainly nice that they’re coming back with The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, as it’s always great to get an extra card in your booster box. You’ll find it in a special, one-card booster inside the box.
As you can see from the booster above, the Box Toppers in this set are also called Treasure Trove cards. All of the cards are popular and powerful artifacts from Magic’s past with brand-new art. You can expect “a hoard of trinkets, baubles, equipment, and more” as per Wizards.
We don’t know exactly how many different Treasure Trove cards will be there, but based on past releases 20 is a solid guess.

Each of the three booster boxes that are released with The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, will contain exactly 1 Box Topper card:
