Wonder in which products you can find all of these cards? Here’s a quick overview of each product releasing with this set. Thankfully, Wizards dialed back a little, so there aren’t that many of them.

Play Boosters

Outlaws of Thunder Junction Play Booster Box

After their debut in Murders at Karlov Manor, Play boosters are returning in Thunder Junction. These boosters are a cool combination of both Draft and Set boosters. Each of them comes with 14 card, with a guaranteed foil and a Breaking News card.

How many rares can you expect? At least one, but up to five. On average, there are 1.45 rares or mythics per pack. The whole booster box comes with 36 Play boosters, which means you’ll typically open 52.2 rares or mythics per box.

This is a great way to acquire a lot of new cards, particularly if you plan on drafting with your friends. However, if you’re willing to spend more, then another product seems even more exciting. We’re speaking of course about the…

Collector Boosters

Outlaws of Thunder Junction Collector Booster Box

You might be familiar with Collector boosters, as they’ve been around for a while. However, if you’re a newer player, or just want a refresher, here’s what these packs are all about.

As the name suggests, they are perfect for collectors. While they can be quite pricey, there’s a reason for that. Each booster comes with 15 cards, which are either foil or use alternate art, plus there are 5 guaranteed rares or mythics per pack. Given that there are 12 packs in a whole box, that means you’ll get 60 rares in it. On top of that they’ll all be foil or feature alternate art.

Speaking of alternate art, in each pack you can expect at least 3 Breaking News cards. So, if you don’t mind spending a bit extra for an exciting pack opening experience, these are the packs you want.

Outlaws of Thunder Junction Bundle

However, for players who want to limit their spending, but still get their hands on some new boosters, Outlaws of Thunder Junction Bundle is a perfect choice.

It comes with 9 Play boosters, 30 basic lands (including 15 foil ones), promo card, and a great sturdy box to store everything in. Bundles are often among the most popular products released. That’s not too surprising as it’s a really fun, budget-friendly item.

Outlaws of Thunder Junction Prerelease Pack

Last but not least, there’s the Outlaws of Thunder Junction prerelease pack. For Thunder Junction, prerelease weekend is set on April 12-14, 2024. This is a beginner-friendly tournament, where players play with the new cards for the first time.

They open their prerelease packs, and find 6 Play boosters, and a promo card. With these cards they build 40-card decks, and battle. If you’ve never been to a prerelease, we’d really recommend it, as it’s one of the most fun Magic tournaments. Don’t know where to play? You can find a place nearby by using Wizards’ Store Locator.

Of course, if you’d prefer to play at home with a friend or significant other, you can do so by purchasing one pack per player.
