The Lost Caverns of Ixalan – Additional Information

There’s plenty to discover about this set, apart from the boosters.

First, as usual, this set will also bring us Commander precons. However, we won’t just get two, but four Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander decks. Each one is based around an iconic creature type from the first Ixalan block: Dinosaurs, Vampires, Pirates, and Merfolk. In addition, they all received a secondary theme, so each deck is trying to do something fresh.

Then there are additional cards that you can open in boosters of this set. Each booster has a chance of containing a full-art Ixalan basic land. These are something special, even tough full-art basics appear in practically every set nowadays.

Furthermore, Set and Collector booster can contain a Jurassic Park card. That’s right Magic is doing another collaboration, this one just in time for the 30th anniversary of this popular Dinosaur franchise. The following is just one example of a card you could open, the big T-Rex. You can find full Jurassic Park card list here.

But that’s not all! Each booster box comes with a Treasure Trove card, a powerful artifact from Magic’s rich past. It gets a brand-new artwork too, which is quite exciting.
